Monochords and Kotamo
Monochord
The sound bed sister, shorter but still very interesting with rich harmonics.
Monochord means one chord, one bloc of strings for fundamental and a second for the Fifth.
This instrument is perfect for sound journey and for singing.
I use only high quality wood for best sound and get rich harmonics
Vibration is creating by strings and amplified by the top.
This Vibration is transferred on the back by a system inside the instrument in the way to feel a subtil massage on your lap.
Kotamo
It's a Monochord with two sides, one side with the Monochord, second side is composed by strings with bridges like a Koto (Japanese instrument), one the second side you'll find others strings for the Tanpura ( Indian instrument).
Kotamo is the name for these 3 instruments
KO-TA-MO, Koto, Tanpura, Monochord.
Composed by 56 Strings tuned in the Key of C:
- 37 strings for the Monochord, 1 in C2, 4 in C3 et 32 in G3
- 4 strings for the Tanpura, C and G
- 15 strings for the Koto, bridges are movable to change music mode (minor, major, phrygian dominant, minor harmonic...).
